Retirement life is full and active at Preston Pointe with many opportunities to socialize, learn new things, and explore hidden talents. In fact, Preston Pointe has such a variety of activities and events, it is one of the many reasons people choose to call it their home. We believe that when the mind is happy and stimulated, a person’s overall attitude and health is improved. Our Activities Director personally meets with each resident upon moving in to discuss all of their interests. Residents can participate in as many activities as they like, or as few as they choose. Our programs are flexible and, as the residents’ interests evolve and change, so do the activities at Preston Pointe.
We are fortunate to be located near the marvelous cities of Morrisville, Cary and Apex, with Raleigh and Durham just a short drive away. This allows us to take day trips to the Museum of Natural Resources, see a movie at the Wells Fargo IMAX Theater or simply enjoy a day trying out the samples at Trader Joe’s. However, it is not necessary for residents to leave the property to have a great time. Our Activities Director can transform our common areas into a haunted mansion for Halloween or a gorgeous ball room for our Valentine’s dance.
Our residents are encouraged to participate in activities, but we understand that not everyone will want to be a social butterfly. Our morning exercise class is a great option for those who enjoy being around others, but may not like the lively parties or outings. We also offer residents the option to join several clubs that play different card and board games. For those who are interested in learning more about a wide variety of topics, we bring in fabulous and knowledgeable speakers. These subjects include everything from learning more about the history of Cary to health issues.
